Introduction:
In this Loving God Series, we will explore how to Love God by living a life that pleases Him.
In John 14:21(ESV) the Lord Jesus Himself tells us that “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them†The commands the Lord referred to here are His words and teachings on many subjects based on which Christian principles are derived. He also emphasized that ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me’†John 14:23–24(NIV)
The passages above teach us that we love God by obeying His words consistently but as a Christian, my greatest challenge is being able to apply the word of God and biblical teachings in my daily interaction with:
Our father in heaven and the Lord Jesus Christ, Myself, My family members, coworkers, strangers, believers in the church, unbelievers, and business associates.
I realized that I read the word of God every day, take some notes, meditate on it, and determine to apply it in my life. But unfortunately, once I encounter an adverse situation like sudden rejection of my business proposal, false accusation, difficult family situation etc, I become either confrontational, emotional, or very defensive and remember to apply the word of God after the fact-when I have hit send on that email or text message or completed the argument.
But this is not God’s desire for me. His desire is that I should rule over my circumstances through the power of the Holy Spirit. And I know that on several occasions when I have encountered difficult situations and have asked the Holy Spirit to assist me, my reactions and responses have been remarkably different and glorious on both sides- Instead of acting immediately on my own strength, I stayed away from the response, prayed for the guidance of the Holy Spirit before wording and sending that email or text, or confronting that difficult situation, the outcome has been wonderful. But it has been inconsistent, and my prayer is to achieve consistency in application of the word of God in my everyday life.
The purpose of setting up this blog is to connect with Christians who have the same challenge and are sincerely seeking to better their Christian life.
Therefore, if you are a true believer in Christ Jesus who is thirsty and long to live a Christ-centered life and your focus is to be ready for the Lord Jesus as the five wise virgins were, I encourage you to come on this journey with me. Here at Inspiration Inn Ministry, we can learn from the word of God by the help of the Holy Spirit and from each other; to inspire consistent application of the Word in our daily lives. This will help us to grow, mature, and live a fruitful and effective Christian life which glorifies the name of our father in heaven and equally shows that we love Him.
We are already motivated by the word of God in Mathew 5:6 which states “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. So, come on board because The Lord Jesus is ready to answer our prayers.
Objective of this blog is to encourage daily and sincere application of the word of God in every situation, God is omnipresent, and He knows those who serve him in truth and spirit. 2nd Timothy 2:19 (KJV) “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
And the goal is to rekindle the love of God in the heart of believers. We have become complacent, limp, and powerless and the Lord warned us about this in revelations Rev 3: 4-5 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Many of us including the writer can quote many scriptures but cannot apply them consistently in our lives and we also apply it selectively depending on how we feel. Let us therefore repent and commit to living a Christ-filled life.
We have two Blogs which are The Loving God Blogspot and the Christian Matters Blogspot.
The Loving God Blogspot.
The Lord Jesus commanded us to Love God with all our hearts and with all our soul Matthew 22:37. And the scripture tells us that how we will know that we love God is by obeying his commands which are His teachings in the bible. Here we explore what Loving God means and how we can structure our lives by the Grace of God and assistance of the Holy Spirit to live a live that pleases God thereby Loving Him.
The focus is on US-Pointing that finger on our lives, doing internal reflection, and taking out the plank form our lives to make sure that we are living for God’s glory. It is a continuous process.
We are currently focused on the Loving God Blogs and they are blogs that encourage Christian living.
Christian Matters BlogSpot Introduction:
The Lord Jesus commanded us to Love God with all our hearts and with all our soul-Matthew 22:37. 37 Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.†And the scripture tells us that how we will know that we love God is by obeying his commands which are His teachings in the bible and the directions of the Holy Spirit.
In Christian Matters Blogspot, we examine current events that affect our Christian lives in light of the word of God to make certain that our perspective reflects biblical views, principles, and standards. This will ensure that we are focused on loving God, our father, and leaving a life that pleases Him in view of the speedily changing values of the world towards Godlessness and the line between Christianity and the world blurring rapidly. Our goal is to live our lives in this present world to please God irrespective of what worldly standards dictates because our main goal is to love God. We will therefore hold tightly to the profession of our faith without wavering because He that called us is faithful Hebrew 10:23. He will hold us unto the end to receive the crown of glory 1st Corinthians 1:8 and we continuously seek His Grace to submit our will to Him. Therefore, we will follow Biblical principles some of which are outlined below rather than worldly standards:
1) Psalm 119:105; “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my pathâ€. We will let the Word of God speak for itself and the Holy Spirit to guide us through the word. We will not interpret the scriptures to fit our perspective but ask for Grace from our father God to help us live according to His will as revealed in the scriptures by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
2) 1st Corinthians 1:12-14; 12“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.†By the Grace of God, the Holy Spirit which knows the mind of God will help and direct us in our daily lives to live according to the will of God.
3) 1st Corinthians 1:23-25;23 “but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.†Christian principles might seem foolish to the world, but we rather be called “Fools for Christ†than be applauded by the world.
4) Proverbs 3 :5-8; 5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. [7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD and depart from evil. It shall be marrow to thine bones and health to thy navel.†As we navigate different areas of life, we prayerfully ask God for guidance in every situation and receive Grace to follow His revealed will.
5) Proverbs 9: 10; The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and fools despise instructions. We will reverence God in every area of our life because our goal is to love and please Him.
6) Proverbs 3:13&18; 13 “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. 18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is everyone that retaineth her.†Finding wisdom comes from having a personal relationship with our father who is the only wise God.
We seek to follow the above and many other principles revealed in the word of God and by the Holy Spirit because many of us Christians have lived most of our lives pleasing ourselves which is not the way God will want us to live; Proverbs tells us the error of living that way in Proverbs 14:12-12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. We are grateful to still have the opportunity to please God while it is day for night cometh when no man will work. Therefore, we want to focus on pleasing and loving our loving heavenly father.
We are looking to fellowship with serious minded Christians who are really thirsting after righteousness. Joining Inspiration Inn Ministry is voluntary and please do not join if you do not want to focus on living to please God because apparently, you might be offended by our positions on many topics. But our sincere desire is that you ask the Lord to direct your heart to seek and love Him so that you will join us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
Note: Our main focus is The Loving God Blogspot but whenever a Christian matters Blogspot post is to be posted, we will alert people to it so that we discuss it together in light of the Word of God the Bible
